Could be better

This is a sturdy connector. Unfortunately I can not turn the On/Off valves without a pair of pliers. Lubrication or adjustment of the screws on the valves did not help. A bit of a disappointment.

Leaks water after a brief use

Gilmour Group Brass High Flow Connector 13HF is a heavy duty brass product and it costs a lot more than plastic or other ones. I bought it because it was the most expensive splitter-connector and I believed that I bought a n excellent product. Just a few months later with very light use it started leaking right where the black plastic “turn head” is. It’s leaking water badly no matter what I do and it’s leaking through the gap between two brass components! I was unable to identify the manufacturer of this item, so I almost gave up trying to replace it, yet after buying another GILMOUR product (garden hose hand-held spray head; looks tough made and is also very expensive) and after it started failing and leaking I went to Gilmour website and accidentally I noticed that the above brass connector is also made by Gilmour! So there I have two Gilmour heavy duty made products that are failing after a very short and light use. Yet the plastic gardening watering products (made by other companies) that I bought that looked cheap made and were cheap last me until now, much longer than these heavy-duty ones. Sometimes we must realise that not everything that looks tough and is costly lasts long… I would not recommend any products that are made by GILMOUR or by LR NELSON. Save your money, buy cheaper ones, they will last you longer and will cost you less.
